Board Members

Eibhlín brings a background in human resource management, business and organisational structure. During her career she has worked in both the Public and Private Sectors. Currently she is focused on her role as a Director of a private company in the development of derelict properties in her local town. Eibhlín has been contributing to the development of Lakers since 2021 in various capacities and is currently Chair of the Board of Directors.

Stephen, father to Emer Donnelly, member of Lakers, is a retired secondary school teacher. He worked in St Davids, Greystones and in the European Schools of Culham and Alicante. He served as Chairperson of the Wicklow branch of Asti and was elected to the Executive Council of the Union. Stephen also trained as a lifeguard with RLSS and was president of the Society in Ireland. He has also served on the Board of Management in St Catherines School.

Kevin is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and electricity sectors. During that time, he held a number of senior financial and management positions, most notably as Chief Financial Officer of Trinity Biotech PLC. Kevin has a strong focus on financial control, corporate governance and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Gráinne is a highly qualified creative professional with a degree in Interior Architecture, a higher national diploma in Interior Design plus numerous diplomas & certificates in design and administration related fields. She began her career as a space planner for banking institutions. A career shift led her to luxury retail and to venture into the performing arts to attend the Gaiety School of Acting. For the past decade, she has been a dedicated stay-at-home parent to her two young sons, one of whom attends Lakers. She finds it incredibly rewarding contributing her skills and experience to support the club’s governance, strategy, and long-term sustainability.

Rory is an IT professional with over 25 years of experience in technology, software testing, and digital delivery. He is a Taekwon-Do Instructor with Le Chéile Taekwon-Do, and is Chairperson of the Board of Management of St. Cronan’s National School. He is a strong advocate for inclusion, accessibility, and creating opportunities that enable people of all abilities to participate, grow, and succeed. Rory is known for his practical leadership, strong organisational skills, and commitment to supporting positive outcomes across both professional and community settings.

Vicky is a marketing and communications professional with over 30 years’ experience across brand strategy, digital campaigns, and stakeholder engagement. She brings a strong focus on clear messaging and community connection to her role on the board as well as valuable insight as a parent of a club member. She understands that “Lakers is for Life” and is passionate about supporting the club’s continued growth, sustainability, and long-term success for future generations of members and families.

Rebecha has been a member of Lakers Sports and Social Club for over 15 years. Rebecha has proudly represented Lakers at Special Olympics and TV, Radio and Social Media campaigns. Rebecha takes part in swimming, bowling and badminton. She works part time and attends college where she enjoys social and life skills. As a member of the Lakers Board, Rebecha works closely with others as a representative for our members. She is passionate about raising important issues that affect members and their families. Rebecha describes Lakers as a place of happiness, family and close friends.

Brenda has been involved with Lakers for 15 years through her son who is a member. She is an experienced leader of teams and product, bringing a strong focus on member and family needs. Having worked in both corporate and start-up environments, she has over 40 years experience in scaling and developing products and services with a positive and fun culture being at the core to drive success. Brenda values openness and honesty and is committed to building a strong and sustainable future for Lakers members and families.

Daniel has been part of the club since he was 8 years old. This gives him a huge understanding of the club's history and ethos. He now takes part in drama, bowling, keepfit and basketball weekly. He also works part time in the club as a caretaker and outside of the club he works part time at Savills Estate Agents. His biggest priority is always the members and he understands they are the heart of the club. He believes that the club is helping drive members through life. He is passionate about Lakers and how it can help members ‘live the dream’.

Jimmy Fearon is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of leadership experience across the corporate and non-profit sectors. He is best known for his tenure as Chief Executive of DEBRA Ireland, where he drives significant growth in patient services, research, government engagement, and high profile fundraising, including a campaign with Colin Farrell that raised €1M. Before entering the non-profit world, James built a strong commercial track record at Dataconversion Direct Ltd, growing a small business to €4M in turnover, and began his career at KPMG working with major corporate clients. He has served on numerous boards including DEBRA International, IPPOSI and Ethiopiaid. James holds a Diploma in Strategy & Innovation from Smurfit School of Business, a BA in Economics, and coaching qualification.
